Hibiscus, Mars Madness

Huge, 9″ magenta red flowers proliferate from plants top to bottom. Large, dark-olive, copper tinted, billowing maple-like leaves make for impressive foliage. Native cultivar quickly develops an appreciative following of butterflies and hummingbirds. Each individual flower is in bloom for only one day, but one or more flowers usually open each day, in succession, over a long mid-summer to early fall bloom period.
